Re: Esperanto
Duh. I know, I know. It's just that I have a mental/emotional block when it comes to nonenglish. Honest. I've tried but! I live in New Mexico and alot of the people here speak espanol and I've studied it intermittently since high school with little to show for it. Bummer.
This piece was interesting--the author's statement that the Englishman couldn't understand the others makes me think that maybe in another hundred years another language from the one we currently share will emerge--and perhaps there will be room for more esperanto speakers in that time :-)
And yes, I've studied esperanto too, primarily with the book "Jen nia mondo" but. Oh well :-)
